Sports Premium
Our Commitment to Physical Education and Sport at Kirkheaton Primary School
At Kirkheaton Primary School, we are proud to share how we have used last year’s Sports Premium funding and how we plan to invest this year’s allocation. Our continued aim is to ensure that every child has access to high-quality physical education and a wide range of sporting opportunities.
We believe that sport is not just about physical activity—it’s about building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong love of movement. Our vision is to create active learners who thrive both in and out of the classroom.
This year, we are deepening our commitment with a passion to help every child discover a sport they love. Whether it’s football, dance, athletics, or something new, we want every pupil to feel included, inspired, and empowered through sport.
We recognise the transformative benefits of sport in every child’s life—from improved mental health and emotional wellbeing to better focus and academic achievement. Through targeted investment in facilities, coaching, and inclusive programmes, we aim to make sport a joyful and integral part of every child’s school experience.
