Kirkheaton Primary School

Sports premium is funding given to every school to enhance sports provision and development.  The funding has to be used to create opportunities for children to take part in sports and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.  Sports provision should also enhance the skills of teachers.  Coaches and sports professionals should work in school to teach school staff the skills of sports so they can continue this provision in the future.  Sports premium should also be spent on equipment and resources to enable school staff to provide a wide range of sports opportunities.  It can also be spent on transport to and from events and competitions.  Kirkheaton Primary School received £16000 of sports funding in 2021-2022
